Privacy policy
Last updated October 27, 2026
Parallax is a desktop app for comparing and deploying databases. This policy covers the app and this website, parallax.compare.
The app
Parallax does not collect, send or sell any personal data. It has no telemetry, analytics or crash reporting, and it does not need an account.
- Your databases. Parallax connects straight from your computer to the database servers you add. Schemas, rows and scripts go between your computer and those servers only.
- What it stores. Your connections, projects, comparisons, snapshots and deployment history are kept in a file on your computer. Saved passwords are encrypted for your Windows account.
- Lucidchart export. If you export a diagram to Lucidchart, the diagram is sent to Lucid under your Lucid account, and Lucid's privacy policy applies to it.
- Update check. Copies installed from outside the Microsoft Store check GitHub for a newer version when they start. The check sends nothing about you or your databases.
- The Microsoft Store. Installs and updates go through the Microsoft Store, under Microsoft's privacy statement.
